Chocolate Workshop

Learn the history of chocolate in Cusco. Learn all the steps of the process of making chocolate from the cocoa tree of the Peruvian jungle. Prepare your own chocolates with a wide variety of combinations such as peanuts, raisins, coconut, coffee, quinoa, and many more ingredients. You can make pure chocolate and milk chocolate. Also while your chocolate is ready for you to take it, learn to prepare 2 types of chocolate-based drinks in a fun session where all students interact.

Peruvian Cooking Workshop

Complement your Spanish classes with this cooking workshop in Cusco, I assure you that it is a whole culinary experience. First you will have the opportunity to learn in depth about the ingredients used in Peruvian cuisine through a gastronomic tour to one of the most popular markets in the country (Mercado San Pedro). After this small tour and with the guidance of a professional chef you will be able to make a dinner with a very traditional dish accompanied by an aperitif, a delicious dessert and of course the traditional pisco sour. Taste what you cooked and share your experience.

Intercultural Workshop

This is a complete immersive workshop in which you will be able to immerse yourself in our culture and customs. The interesting thing about this workshop is that we have to visit a farm outside the city. There we can perform the different activities we have for you. In total we will teach you 5 mini workshops of 40 minutes each.

1. Ceramic Workshop:

Learning the techniques used by craftsmen, we will teach you how to make a clay glass and then decorate it by painting figures on the glass.

2. Knitting Workshop:

Visit the house of Mrs. Antonia, where she will show the traditional techniques in the elaboration of the most symbolic garments of the Andean culture, learning the whole process of its elaboration and natural dyeing of the fabrics with local plants and flowers of zone

3. Workshop dedicated to mother earth:

In this workshop you will learn how the Incas formerly performed the payment ceremony to Mother Earth with different offerings and rituals in order to have a good harvest. You will also learn to cook the traditional food called “Huatia” which consists of burying all kinds of tubers such as potatoes, sweet potatoes and cooking them by putting ovens made of adobe with charcoal on top of them.

4. Andean Bread Workshop:

Only once a year the popular T'anta Wawa (Baby Breads) is made as part of the tradition by the festivities of the day of the living and the day of the dead. In this workshop you will learn how to make this traditional baby bread from the preparation of the dough until the final step in the wood-based oven.

5. Traditional Medicine Workshop.

Learn the use and management of natural plants for the treatment of various diseases through Andean knowledge about herbalism.
