Every Wednesday evening there is a class dinner and every Thursday at 5pm is a dance class. Friday's at noon there is usually an extracurricular activity. I would absolutely recommend this program to other medical students and people with no prior Spanish education. I was able to learn an incredible amount in just one month, which would have been otherwise impossible without being immersed in a Spanish-speaking country. Cusco is a fantastic historical city with a lot of tourist attractions and you should absolutely see Machu Picchu while here. I highly recommend taking Spanish classes at the Wiracocha Spanish School!

Learning from three amazing teachers over three weeks in the intensive course, I quickly went from knowing only a few phrases to being able to read, write and speak (albeit at a basic level). However this was enough to be able to interact with locals for the rest of my trip - and because of this I ended up in situations and experiences that I believe I would not have been if I didn't know Spanish. The school also helped organised my trip to Rainbow Mountain (amazing) and for the Salkantay trek - both with very reputable companies in Cusco. For Rainbow Mountain, it was one of the tour groups that left at 4AM meaning that we reached the peak before the rush of other tourists during the day arrive. The Salkantay Trek was a definite highlight and highly recommend anyone thinking about it, to do it.I also experienced local Peruvian tradition, in pottery, baking and making ointments from coca & eucalyptus leaves.Thank you Eriksson and Indira for all their help, and a massive shout-out to my teachers Karem, Nayda & Carmen for equipping me with the skills to continue my Spanish. .
Incredible Spanish school. My boyfriend and I took a week of classes and feel it has really helped us to communicate with Spanish speakers and locals. The teachers are very nice and helpful. The school also offers free activities every week for their students. Highly highly recommend. We loved this school!!
I really enjoyed learning spanish here at Wiracocha spanish school!! Staffs are Super friendly and Great atmosphere plus free salsa lesson!!Thanks so much and I wish I could stay longer!!

The staff at Wiracocha does a terrific job of teaching Spanish and also creating a social community during your stay in Peru. While I was here we attended a football match, had free salsa classes, and weekly dinners to get to know the staff and other students. The Spanish classes were 1 on 1 which allowed for a tailored learning experience based on your skill set. The location of the school is situated close to San Blas and the main square which makes it great for exploring cafes and shops. Overall the Wiracocha School is a great choice for learning Spanish as well as enjoying your time in Peru! .

As a brazilian, I have some facilities to learn spanish because the language has its similarities with portuguese, but when I arrived I just knew the basic and now, 3 months after, I can speak with everyone due the great job of the teacheres and also of the staff. The learning wasn't just inside the classes. I also meet a lot of interesting students. The school organizes classes of salsa and cooking every week, and also the dinner with teacher and students at weednesday night. I visited a small peruvian village and could meet a little of the local culture. Finaly, in the last week of my stay I went to a Stadium to assist to the a soccer match of Real Garcilaso with the people of Wiracocha. It was a very nice experience I think I couldn't make a better decision. So, if you want to meet Cusco, its rich peruvian culture and also seize the opportunity to learn spanish, don't think twice: I fully suggest Wiracocha Spanish School for everyone. ;) .

When my volunteer schedule changed, they were able to modify my class schedule. I loved having a bit of tea over my lessons—a fun touch. I learned a lot about Peruvian culture and history from the classes too. Every day I walked into that beautiful building in San Blas I felt like a had a home away from home. .

This school was exactly what i was looking for. Before I came to Cusco i barely spoke any Spanish. I stayed for 5 weeks in a Guestfamily and had Spanish... . lessons 4 hours a day (Mo-Fr). Now I am at a level where I can easily communicate in Spanish and i am well prepared for my further travels. I loved learning with every single Teacher because everything was explained clearly and in my personal speed. Apart from the Lessons the environment was really warmly with different kind of Activities after the class which I really enjoyed.
All in all I would highly recommend this school to everybody who is going to stay in Cusco and wants to learn/ improve their Spanish.

I had an amazing time learning here. All the teachers I had the pleasure of meeting were so kind and friendly. The Spanish lessons were so helpful and I was amazed at how quickly I started picking it up. The largest class I ever had was me and one other person. I had the pleasure of taking a month of Quechua instruction with Indira. The school is very flexible with the length of stay, the intensity of classes, and the type... . of language practice you need. If you're working towards a particular goal for learning Spanish (or Quechua), they are accommodating and understanding of that. Many classes are one-on-one, or otherwise very small and individualized. What was even more impactful on me than the language classes was the way that the school feels like a community. You will meet friends that may be people you keep in touch with forever. Although class is intensive and you WILL learn, evenings are for salsa classes, dinners around town, and there are excursions available on the weekends. These pictures are from an event that the Wiracocha school takes every December called a chocolatada in which we traveled to visit a Quechua-speaking community and gave toys. Other trips could include Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain, or Sacsayhuaman. The teachers are super kind, understanding, patient, and fun! They speak English, and at least some German and French is spoken. Students when I was there were from the U.S., Belgium, Australia, Germany, and Brazil. The school is in a safe, touristy, and easily walkable part of Cusco. You'll definitely have a great time as well as a wonderful learning experience with Wiracocha.

There was effort put into organization of school activities which were great in getting to know others- Indira the administrator in particular was enthusiastic and dedicated to this. The location was perfect- near the main square and even closer to the cute neighbourhood of San Blas. Also the price was right! As is the case in most places in cùsco there was no heat so was chilly in class- however they provided blankets and free tea/coffee which were a great help. .
