Internship in Social Work
If you are a recently graudated or final year student of Social Work or a similar profession Wiracocha Spanish School offers you the opportunity to improve your skills by working in a social institution where you will have the opportunity to exercise and refine the knowledge acquired in your university whilst learning the techniques used by Peruvian professionals.
Program of Internship in Social Work
Duration: 4 weeks.
Includes:
- Practical sessions at orphanages and centers for street children.
- Bibliographical material.
- Your personal program Co-ordinator.
- Home stay with a Peruvian family.
- Certificate from the institution where you take your internship.
- Spanish Classes.
* This program does not require previous knowledge of Spanish.
Enrollment Process
- You must complete the application form on this web site a minimum of 2 weeks before arriving in Cusco. You must complete the whole form including specifying the types of enterprises within which you wish to work.
- In Cusco a person from our school will be waiting for you at the airport holding a sign with your name on it they will accompany you to the family home where you will live during your stay in Cusco.
- The next day at the school you will be introduced to the school Director and your program coordinator who will explain the program and schedules and then you will begin practical sessions. The school will also provide you with lots of advice and information to ensure that your stay in Cusco is enjoyable and productive.
- Your personal program coordinator will introduce you to the Peruvian professionals with whom you will work.
- In the afternoons you will have 2 hours of Spanish classes focussing on the specific vocabulary of Social Work.
Payment method
You must pay the cost of the whole program in cash on the first day of the program in cusco and prior to commencing your course activities. There are many banks and ATM'S close to the school making it easy to withdraw cash or change travellers cheques.
