Internship in Horticulture or Animal Production
If you are a recent graduate or final year student of Agriculture or Horticulture Wiracocha Spanish School offers you the opportunity to practice your chosen profession by working on a farm or in a local agricultural enterprise. You will have the opportunity to exercise and refine the knowledge acquired in your university whilst learning the techniques used by Peruvian professionals.
Program of Internship in horticulture and animal production
Duration: 4 weeks.
Includes:
- Practical sessions on farms and within local agriculture companies.
- Bibliographical material.
- Your personal program Co-ordinator.
- Homestay with a Peruvian family (includes 3 meals per day).
- Certificate from the institution or company where you take your intership.
- Classes on technical Spanish for horticulture and animal production.
* Does not require previous knowledge of Spanish.
Enrollment Process
- You must complete the application form on this web site a minimum of 2 weeks before arriving in Cusco. You must complete the whole form including specifying the types of enterprises within which you wish to work.
- In Cusco a person from our school will be waiting for you at the airport holding a sign with your name on it. They will accompany you to the family home where you will live during your stay in Cusco.
- The next day at the school you will be intruduced to the school Director and your program coordinator who will explain the program and schedules and then you will begin practical sessions. The school will also provide you with lots of advice and information to ensure that your stay in Cusco is enjoyable and productive.
- Your personal coordinator program will introduce you to the Peruvian professionals with whom you will work.
- In the afternoons you will have 2 hours of Spanish language lessons focussing on the specific vocabulary of horticulture and animal production.
Payment method
You must pay the cost of the whole program in cash on the first day of the program in Cusco and prior to commencing your course. There are many banks and ATM'S close to the school making it easy to withdraw cash or change travellers cheques.
