Literature from Latin America and Spain Course.
This course is designed for students who have an advanced Spanish level and want to improve it, or who have a really passion for Hispanic literature and want to learn more about the main representatives of literature from Latin America and Spain.
Students learn about the different literary genres.
The students will learn by reading and studying literature together with their teacher who has a degree in Spanish American literature and language, the progress of the issues going in chronological order, from the Medieval and Renaissance to contemporary authors such renamed Vargas Llosa, Gabriel García Márquez, Neruda and others.
Students should also understand the historical and socio-economic context in which each work was written, to be able to understand and give a more valid opinion.
The teacher will try to motivate students to take a critical and analytical interpretation of various literary themes.
The student need to read literary material before class, so during classes the students will be able to comment, discuss and understand in a better way, and the teacher will explain with detail about each author.

A lot of ex-students are still visiting the school! And I am too. The school is small that it feels a lot like family. My teacher, Gary, did a great job. He is a good teacher for upper levels as well. We had a good mix of conversation, exercises, grammar and fun. I learned a lot !
